I look around StepMania-related forums in 2009 and I see some people STILL using StepMania System Zero. While it kind of warms my heart, a lot of the other things I've seen/heard aren't so good. I guess I kind of credit myself with the destruction of StepMania, mainly due to System Zero becoming the interim theme and people hating it. In the end, it may have done more good than evil, but I always considered it the black sheep of all the themes I've put my name on. As time went by, I made some other themes, most languishing in relative obscurity (no, I didn't hide them in tweak's theme of the same name). Yet as time went by, System Zero seemed more and more like an idea to revisit.

e-series Evoke

Evoke was an idea from a themer named Shuu. While not much information surfaced about it, Evoke was to be a System Zero-inspired theme for StepMania 4 CVS. While it was never completed, I bring it up because not many people may have known about it while it was active.

It exists, but I can't guarantee a release, much less a finished product. The logo has changed since it was first made, but I am too lazy and don't really care.

legacy

Everywhere I go, I end up seeing some hybrid theme being made with some elements of System Zero used. This is fine. I get emails and requests for System Zero elements every so often. You can use whatever you'd like from it, assuming you still have the theme.

future?

Well, if System Zero.one is ever released, that'll be it. If not, this is it. I have no intention on porting the theme to the StepMania 4 alphas, nor sm-ssc. Evoke probably won't end up happening due to a lack of interest on Shuu's part.

I finally had a decent excuse to take it down.

Well, not technically, but I'm not supporting it anymore and don't want to make it available.

If you're hell-bent on sticking with StepMania 3.9, get minimalia or Selling Out Made Simple.
I'd really prefer you moved on to StepMania 4 and got moonlight instead. It's probably my best theme.
