the spiral unicorn collective is a group of themers dedicated to creating pink themes that look exactly like beatmania IIDX.

History
When Lirodon released Monarchy on Bemanistyle, he made a few indirect references to k//eternal along with some bold claims:
In comparision to the 3.9 works of art some other guy made, this one is a bit more true to IIDX style and form wise.
Since k//eternal was on a hiatus from Bemanistyle, this was basically a cheap shot. Being forced to come out of hiatus to reply to this inaccurate claim, k// had a talk with a few other themers, forming what would become the spiral unicorn collective. the spiral unicorn collective is effectively a parody of the spinal shark collective, but includes all of the latter's members.
The goal of the group was to take themes and make them pink, while claiming that the themes were exactly like beatmania IIDX (when it was obvious that they were not).
Themes
the spiral unicorn collective released a relatively large number of themes in a short amount of time.
Most of them exhibited some common traits:
- Pink colored
A direct shot at Monarchy, this is where the main inspiration for claiming that each of the spiral unicorn collective's themes were exactly like beatmania IIDX, with EMPRESS being pink.
- My Little Pony music
Featured in Opinkal and PROJEKTXIV-, the theme music of My Little Pony was a prominent part of each theme. XIV- used the original English version, while Opinkal used the Spanish version.
- the spiral unicorn collective mascot, a pink unicorn, was featured in most of the themes. It was noticeably absent from dubai11DX and SM:Lovestruck.
XIV-
The first of the themes to be released, PROJEKTXIV- was a modification of PROJEKTXIV. The title screen calls the theme "MY LITTLE PONY UNICORN", and the spiral unicorn collective's mascot is displayed prominently throughout the theme.
pinkhash
tweak's pinkhash followed next, being a pink recolor of rehash.
Opinkal
Opinkal was the third released theme, created by shakesoda. As the name suggests, it's a recolor of Optical, with the Spanish My Little Pony ("Pequeño Pony") theme song as mentioned above.
dubai11DX
Arriving late to the party was AJ 187's dubai11DX, a pink recoloring of dubaiOne. Originally, dubai11DX was going to be modified to be closer to beatmania IIDX, but when AJ realized he was really late, he decided to give up and release what he had. dubai11DX is notable for covering the entire playing field in pink, making things look really weird.
[EXPLETIVE]Mania
Released on the same day as dubai11DX, xjen0vax's contribution was EXPLETIVEMania, a theme that was heavily censored.
SM:Lovestruck
SM:Lovestruck, released long after the other themes, was Midiman's doing. The base for SM:Lovestruck was Midi's SM:Strike.
